Clare Ford and Harmony Valley boundaries

The off-leash area was renamed for Clare Ford in June 2025. Older maps may still call it Harmony Valley off-leash dog park. The broader park and open-space area exceeds 60 hectares, but only 10 hectares form the off-leash area.

Follow signs. Only southern trails allow dogs off leash. Leash dogs on entry and exit, in the parking lot and outside off-leash boundaries. Trails are natural, unpaved and not maintained, so they can be steep or slippery.

Cordova rules and vulnerable dogs

Cordova Valley’s separate enclosed area can help owners of small or vulnerable dogs. Owners remain legally responsible for behaviour and must keep dogs in view and under voice control. Fill any hole your dog digs before leaving.

Cordova prohibits food, beverages and glass in the enclosure, as well as smoking and vaping. Dogs in heat, sick dogs, aggressive dogs and puppies under four months cannot enter. Choke and prong collars are prohibited.

Rules applying to owners

Each person may bring no more than four dogs. Dogs need current licences and vaccines. Pick up waste and use bins. Children need supervision. Dogs must remain visible and under voice control.

Harmony Valley’s guidance says puppies need their 12-week shots and prong collars should be removed. Do not assume this overrides Cordova’s stricter four-month minimum. Stay on designated trails and protect wildlife and plants.
